Abstract colored pencil drawings
Artist Statement
I use the emotive quality of color to draw the reminiscence of a landscape. I am interested in creating a sense of space, openness and light. My goal is to communicate the impact of nature, rather than creating a representational drawing. I use light-fast (non-fading) colored pencils on archival museum board and paper. Colored pencils provide the power of color while showing the mark of the artist’s hand.
