Artist Image Requirements

Artist applications need to include 5 images of your work and 1 image of your booth or studio.  We are looking for high-quality photos.  Many artists get disqualified because of the poor-quality photos they submitted.

Images of your art should only have your art within the frame of the photo.  No extraneous backgrounds.  Lighting should be even.  There should not be any glare reflecting off of shiny surfaces.

The five images of your art will be viewed by the jury to determine acceptance into the tour.  The same five images will then be used for social media posts, print brochure and map.

As you can imagine, with all these artists and their images, it is extremely important to keep everything organized. Therefore, it is mandatory that your five images be labeled with your name.  Example: FirstNameLastName01.jpg, FirstNameLastName02.jpg, etc. Failure to label your images in this manner will disqualify you. Your sixth image of your booth or studio will be labeled FirstNamelastName06.jpg.

Image requirements:

  • File format: JPG or PNG only.

  • Size: 1000 px on the longest side

  • Maximum file size is 5 MB

  • Image files must include your first and last name in the file name. Example: “FirstNameLastName01” “FirstNameLastName02’ etc.

  • Not putting your name on your image files means we can’t identify your work and you will be disqualified.

Sizing your images:

  • To resize and/or edit your images, you can use an online website, Canva, Photoshop, Lightroom, Snapseed, or similar apps.

  • Please make sure your images are correctly rotated.

  • If you are struggling with this part, please reach out for help.
